Never was an idea so removed from the truth than “Judeo-Christian” values. Emanating from the bowels of evil, this contraption has captured the Evangelical heartland like nothing before; a grand deception, which will likely never be outdone. That the term has been adopted by both Church and State sheds great light on the times and the honesty of Paul’s warnings. Not only did he alert us to the amoral condition of this age, but the folly of its citizens willing to trade a lie for the truth.
So, let’s get to the heart of this nonsense. First, the alleged shared values of Protestants, Catholics and Jews are nothing but a twentieth century ruse allegedly to counter the rise of socialism. It has nothing to do with Scripture. Promoted by the National Conference of Christians and Jews (NCCJ) in the guise of inter-faith tolerance, the idea came from a 1955 essay on American Religious Sociology by Zionist and ex-Marxist Will Herberg; who, lo and behold, was later active in setting the structure for theology and religious studies in America.
The aims of the NCCJ are historical and current. Its founding in the late 1920s was to address so-called ‘interfaith divisions’ in order to smooth over a range of opinions held on Judaism and Jews; from forbearance to open disdain, reflecting attitudes globally. Their mission was for Americans, mainly American Christians, to support the campaign for a Jewish State in Palestine. In 1998 the NCCJ changed its name to the National Conference for Community and Justice, later shortened to the National Conference.
In tandem with the aims of the NCCJ was the Scofield Reference Bible, the handbook for Christian veneration of the modern State of Israel. Launched in 1909 and owned by the Oxford University Press; its footnotes and commentary openly promote Zionist ambitions in Palestine, the role of Jews in religion and society, and supports anti-Semitism. While Scofield used a standard King James as the basis of his bible, his footnotes captured the hearts and minds of American churches to the Zionist cause. By ready acceptance of the Oxford-Scofield Bible, unwary Christians allowed Zionist Jews to bend them to their will.
Now, the religion of Catholicism and its Protestant offspring is apparently built upon the sacrifice of Christ. They each have their own law and doctrine, yet are divided on matters of authority and understanding of Scripture. What they do have in common is the divinity of Jesus, repentance and forgiveness. Judaism on the other hand keeps none of these principles; its morality based not in forgiveness but retribution; an eye for an eye. So, to bring Jews and Christians together under a banner of “shared values” is dishonest at best, as they hold incompatible doctrines, which is plainly obvious for all to see.
With its beginnings in America, much of Western Christianity has fallen to the propaganda, Jewish values are Christian values. They prefer the teachings of men over the Word of God and stumble at the certainty set clearly before them: for the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers having itching ears: And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. (2Ti 4:3-4) And perhaps more pertinent here: Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men that turn from the truth. (Titus 1:14)
Therefore, let us not be persuaded by those who would corrupt Scripture to their own ends. Stand firm in the Faith of Jesus and works of the Apostles. Be sober and watch, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, goeth about seeking whom he may devour. Resist him strong in faith: knowing that the same affliction befalls your brethren who are in the world. (1Peter 5:8-9 DRB)
