#4 The Abomination

Preamble

The Seven Trumpets in the Book of Revelation, shadow the Seven Days of God’s Creation. On the first day of Creation, the Spirit of God moved over the face of the waters and said; “Let there be Light.” In the 1st Trumpet, the ‘Light of the Law’ is handed to Israel. On the second day of Creation, the LORD separated the waters under Heaven, from the waters above. In the 2nd Trumpet, Sinai’s Law and God’s Testimony, divided in the Houses of Israel and Judah, is led captive into the sea of nations. However it is not until we compare the fourth day of Creation with the 4th Trumpet that we understand the Trumpets reveal, ‘a spirit,’ opposing the order of Gods Creation.

(4th Day of Creation) And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:…And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: He made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the Fourth Day. (Genesis 1:14-19)

(4th Trumpet) And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. (Revelation 8:12)

From the Prophet, Jeremiah, we understand the ‘Lights of God’s Creation,’ which rule night and day, and divide seasons and times; also parallel the Ordinances the LORD handed to Israel. Through the eyes of God’s Prophet we gain an insight into the Lord’s purpose bound in Israel. Observe how, Jeremiah binds together the lights of Creation, the Ordinances of the Law; and Israel. God’s Watchman warned that if these Ordinances were to depart, then the ‘seed of Israel’ would cease to be a nation forever.

But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, says the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people… Thus says the LORD, which gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divides the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name: If those ordinances depart from before me, says the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever. (Jeremiah 31: 33-36)

Therefore, the ‘light of the Sun’ to rule the day, and the ‘lesser light of the Moon’ to rule the night, are symbolic of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the Law. The ‘light of the Stars’ refer to Abraham’s Faith and the multitudes that have descended from the ‘Promised Son’. These Covenants, wed God to Israel as Husband and wife. In the Book of Revelation, we see ‘Israel as a Bride’ standing upon the Moon, clothed with the Sun, and crowned with twelve Stars and these Covenants left in their created order, bring forth the Messiah. Unlike the Dragon, she will not cast down a third part of the stars that speak of Christ and from God’s Word undefiled, comes an ‘Israel’ spoken of by Jeremiah the Prophet. From God’s Lights and Ordinances; from the ‘Woman’s Seed,’ descend those who shall keep the Commandments of God and the Faith of Jesus. (Revelation 12)

ISRAEL’S SOWING: The forty-two generations from Abraham to the Messiah, and the forty-two months allotted to the ‘Churches in the nations’ in the outer court.

ISRAEL’S FEASTS & JOURNEY’S: The Covenant Feasts that join Israel to God, and God to Israel; the journeys of Israel in the times of Sinai, their carrying away into the Nations, and their fall in the Church Ages.

The 4th Trumpet – The Messiah trampled…

And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. (Revelation 8:12)

Within the early church at Jerusalem a faction arose that agreed Christ was the Son, but denied He was also the Father. These, who rejected Christ’s Testimony bound in the Law and Prophets, were named ‘antichrists’ by the Apostle, John. The Spirit of the LORD also warned, Paul that some would depart from the Faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils; forbidding to marry and commanding to abstain from meats. (1Timothy 4:1)

The ‘spirit of unbelief’ identified by John, and the ‘doctrines of devils’ forewarned by the LORD, took root and flourished in the Church of Rome. In successive Councils, including Nicaea, the Roman State encouraged their ‘Universal Church’ to reconcile its theology, and to provide it with a cohesive statement of faith in order to unite its growing divisions. During this period theologians, politicians, and philosophers forged the ‘trinity doctrine,’ which was enshrined in both the Nicene and Apostle’s creed. Creeds that do battle with those portions of the Prophets, the Law and the Gospel that proclaim Jesus Christ is the Existing One. This ‘unbelief’ is not unique to the Church of Rome and her ‘Trinitarian daughters’ but to all. For example, Jehovah’s Witnesses deny Jesus Christ is the LORD God Almighty. To be clear, doctrines like the trinity are born of men and not God.

It is here we begin to understand that the ‘Little Horn’ foreseen by Daniel is a creed; by which errant men falsely explain ‘who Christ is.’ A creed, a decree of men, which blaspheme Christ’s Name and Testimony, which bear out the fact we have not let Scripture interpret Scripture. When, ‘men’ align God’s Testimony to fit their creeds, every sect, who adds to, or removes from the Gospel, smites a third part of the Ordinances of the Sun, the Moon and the Stars; Ordinances, which reveal the LORD Jesus Christ as the Everlasting Father, the Promised Son, and the Holy Spirit. When we put our hand to God’s Word, it makes Jesus Christ’s Salvation in us; null and void. When men interfere with God’s Testimony, it opens hell. The ‘spirit of unbelief’ that gives rise to our ‘little horn’ decrees, dwells in the souls of all men until such time we receive the revelation of who Christ is.

As foretold by, Jeremiah; each time these creeds lay waste to God’s Testimony, Israel would in turn diminish as a Nation. In the times allotted to the Churches in the Nations, creeds, like the trinity, have raged against God’s Word and overcome the gospel in the hearts of the Saints. As Jesus Christ is the ‘Word of God;’ trinitarianism, is the antichrist spirit manifest in the word of men.

[and the third part of the sun was smitten] The Gospel of Jesus Christ – The Greater Light:

So, who is the Christ? He is the Anointed One, the Promised Son, the Messiah, and our Savior. Isaiah declared; the Promised Son is the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Counselor and the Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6) The Apostle, Peter having received the revelation of Jesus Christ, not from men but directly from the LORD, baptised in the name of Jesus Christ. He did not use Christ’s titles of; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38)

Who then, is the LORD? The Apostle, Peter said; Jesus is both LORD and Christ. (Acts 2:36) The Apostles preached one LORD, one Faith and one Baptism; and the name of Jesus Christ is the name of the LORD, the name of the faith we keep, and the name by which we are baptized. The Hebrew name, “YHWH” has been rendered ‘LORD’ in most New Testament versions. However, the literal translation of “YHWH” means; “the EXISTING ONE.” I have used the literal translation below.

Hear O Israel; The EXISTING ONE thy God; is One EXISTING ONE! (Deut 6:4 + Mark 12:29)

This Greatest Commandment, is the ‘Root of Israel’s Faith,’ and when left untouched it places Sinai’s Ten Commandments in their true light. When left in their original created order, they are as husband and wife.

And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. Then said he to Thomas; Reach here thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach here thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said to him, My Lord and my God. Jesus said to him; Thomas, because you have seen me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. (John 20:26-29)

[and the third part of the moon] The Law – The Lesser Light:

I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. (Daniel 7:8-9)

As the Ten Horns of the Dragon are God’s Ten Commandments, so the ‘Little Horn’ is a ‘Commandment of men.’ A Creed that rips out the ‘Root of Israel’s Faith’ sealed in Sinai’s first three Commandments. Why; because the first three Commandments speak of Christ’s Godhead. The antichrist will seek to ‘behead’ this Testimony in those who keep it. Pious fraudsters, who replace ‘Christ’s Faith’ with false creeds, who have not believed the Testimony of Jesus Christ, and therefore, have not rested in His Salvation. This ‘root of unbelief’ resident in men’s hearts, gives rise to creeds that bring forth death and hell. Its ‘root of gall’ lays waste to the Gospel in men.

(The Ist Commandment) I am the EXISTING ONE thy God, which has brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:2-3)

This Commandment speaks of ‘the Father’ who brought Israel out of Egypt. The ‘trinity’ teaches; “God is three people;” whereas Scripture states; ‘God is One LORD.’ The ‘trinity’ opposes the truth. Jesus said of this time in Israel’s history; “Moses wrote of me.”

(The 2nd Commandment) Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. (Exodus 20:4)

This Commandment speaks of ‘the Son,’ the express image of God whose sacrifice and Salvation the trinity replaces. The trinity forged by men is an image of the true. It poses as ‘The Gospel’ in the same way the ‘Beast of the Earth’ in the Book of Revelation, appears as ‘a Lamb.’ Creeds like the trinity oppose the Gospel of Jesus Christ, they are the antichrist’s ‘mouth’ of blasphemy. Compare the 2nd Commandment above with Philippians 2:8-10: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

(The 3rd Commandment) Thou shalt not take the name of the EXISTING ONE thy God in vain; (Exodus 20:7)

This Commandment speaks of ‘the Holy Spirit,’ which is the ‘Seal of God’s Name’ in those who believe, and are baptised in the ‘Name’ of the Lord Jesus Christ. Only in this Name is found the remission of sin and the gift of the Holy Spirit. There is no forgiveness of sin and no seal of the Holy Spirit, in the baptism of Christ’s titles. (Matthew 28:19) The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the ‘EXISTING ONE’ Jeremiah foretold would dwell in us, and write His laws within our hearts and minds. The Apostle, Paul confirmed this promise of the indwelling Spirit of the LORD when he wrote; “Examine yourselves, whether you be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know you not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except you be reprobates.” (2 Corinthians 13:5)

Sinai’s three ‘Godhead’ Commandments correspond to Jesus Christ’s dispensations as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Godhead ministries seen as the Tablets of the Law, the Pot of Manna, and the ‘Rod that Budded’ in the Ark of the Testimony. The first three Trumpets reveal the Dragon, the Beast of the Sea, and the Beast of the Earth, oppose Christ’s Testimonies in His Times. The ‘Godhead Commandments’ are heard in the Gospel of Salvation preached by the Apostles: One LORD, One Faith, and One Baptism. The antichrist spirit inherent in men will seek to confuse and destroy this Salvation in you.

[and the third part of the stars] The Prophets:

Scripture says the Testimony of Jesus Christ is the Spirit of Prophecy. Therefore, when each Prophet uttered their portion they testified of the Messiah, our Savior to come. Creeds, like the trinity, trample underfoot the Prophets of God, and dismiss the great suffering these servants endured to bring forth God’s Word in their time. May the LORD God Almighty restore their testimony in your heart. (Revelation 19:10)

Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, you that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save… Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. (Isaiah 45:20-23)

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light. And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and His Name One. (Zechariah 14:6-9)

[so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.]

There is great mercy in this portion of Scripture. It acknowledges that false prophets would forge ‘doctrines of devils’ and these would ‘smite’ the Light of Christ, which shines within the Gospel, the Law, and the Prophets. By attacking God’s Ordinances, they attack Israel and so to save His Elect, the LORD has withdrawn their light for a third part of the day and the night… and as such the days are shortened.

For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the Elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, He hath shortened the days. (Mark 13:19-20)

The last portion of the 4th Trumpet foretells that by simple ignorance, many would bow to counterfeit images like the Trinity. In this Scripture we see the LORD’S mercy upon those in our religious assemblies who truly love the LORD, but see Him only as the Son and not the Father. They only see, Jesus as the ‘offspring’ of David, and not the ‘root’ of David. But for the LORD’S mercy on our ignorance, no flesh would be saved. And except those days were shortened Israel, God’s Elect, would cease as a Nation forever. In this we see the saving of those who gathered to Luther’s message and others of like-mind.

The Little Horn: our Church teachings

When Daniel saw four winds of heaven that strove upon the sea, he saw four beasts rise out from the waters; which are the nations and their peoples. While the Lion, the Ox, a Man and an the Eagle are the four Gospel Beasts; Daniel’s Beasts on the other hand, represent the Word of God desecrated by men. The four stages of this desolation are: (1) God’s Testimony placed in the hearts of men; (2) God’s Word overcome by the powers of this world; (3) His Testimonies of the Law and the Gospel altered and scattered to the four winds and; (4) A ‘Little Horn’ that rages against God’s Testimony, and which replaces Christ’s Salvation.

Daniel’s Four Beasts align to the Four Trumpets we have covered thus far: (1) Sinai’s Law is handed to Israel; (2) as idolatry overcomes Israel, her Tribes are led into captivity by stronger Nations; (3) the Messiah’s sacrifice and Gospel saves us, but as the antichrist spirit grows, both ‘good and bad seed’ is sown into the Nations and; (4) the Light of Jesus Christ, bound in the Ordinances of the Law and the Gospel, is trampled by church creeds and the traditions of men.

This pattern of desolation unfolds in every religious and political kingdom that put their hand to God’s Word. In these kingdoms, we observe the ‘Dragon’s Law’ rise as the ‘Beast of the Sea’ with its vast political and religious powers. We see also, the ‘Beast of the Earth’ that ‘speaks like a dragon’ with its false gospel. In Fox’s Book of Martyrs, we see the power of the State and the Church persecute those like Martin Luther, and murder countless others that strove for a Gospel cleansed of heresy, like William Tyndale. Why; because while the trinity sat in their hearts, the Spirit of God called them to a Gospel cleansed from unbelief.

From the Church of England established by the English Parliament, to the Ratana Church in the distant Isles of New Zealand, the ‘dragons seed’ has brought forth its political and religious ‘horns;’ the two horns of a bullock foretold in Ephraim that have pushed the Tribes to the ends of the earth. These political and religious kingdoms have bred False-Christs’ and their gospels have profaned the Word of God in their times. So, in 1948 when the United Nations recognised Israel’s claim to legitimacy, and the World Council of Churches was incorporated, we do not see God’s Israel, nor do we see God’s Church; but rather, the kingdoms of this world held in Satan’s hand.

If you love God’s Word, then understand this. As Jesus Word is restored; Israel is restored. His Kingdom shall come in mankind’s darkest hour when the Gospel has been ultimately put to death. This day is upon us; “for the LORD says, now the evil, now the evil, now the evil.”

In the next three Trumpets we shall see the death, burial, and the resurrection of the LORD’S Word. And we will begin to see the emergence of God’s Israel. Three Trumpets of Woe, which reveal the days of God’s Vengeance and Tribulation; each has reaped their harvest in the allotted generations of ‘Israel in the Nations.’

Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears. Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth. You are my witnesses says the EXISTING ONE, and my servant whom I have chosen: that you may know and believe me, and understand that I AM He: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I AM, the EXISTING ONE; and beside me there is no Saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore you are my witnesses, says the EXISTING ONE, that I AM God. (Isaiah 43)
