The Dragon

Three Parts

The Testimony of the LORD JESUS Christ is named in three Covenants. In Revelation the antichrist shadows these Covenants as; the Dragon from heaven, the Beast of the sea, and the Beast of the earth. Several years ago, I began sharing on the 1st Trumpet with a portion of the Scripture below. In returning to this place I pray God’s Word bound in these beasts is opened to you.

[The LORD to Abraham] And he brought him forth abroad, and said, look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, so shall thy seed be. And he (Abraham) believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness. And he said unto him, I am the LORD that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it. And he said, Lord GOD, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it? And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon

And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not… And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him. And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance. But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.

And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces. (Genesis 15:5-17)

.

When the LORD promised Abraham his seed would be as the stars of heaven in multitude, Abraham believed and asked the LORD for a sign. To confirm his oath, the LORD had Abraham divide three beasts in the middle and to lay them out on the ground. The dove and pigeon he left whole. Abraham then fell into a deep sleep and was shown a smoking furnace and a burning lamp pass between the three beasts. He then told Abraham his seed would dwell in a strange land and would be afflicted for a time: that in the fourth generation the LORD would draw them out of bondage and lead them into a land of promise.

In the 4th part of Revelation’s Messages, Seals, Trumpets and Plagues, we see the four times of affliction in the LORD’s Covenant with Abraham. The utter despair foretold by the LORD up to that 4th part and the LORD’s deliverance thereafter. In the Dragon, the Beast of the sea and the Beast of the earth is bondage; tribulation, and for a remnant who then repent, deliverance and salvation. This dividing of time is spoken of by Daniel and revealed in the 7th Seal.

That the opening of this sign has come at a time our churches are in moral free-fall is no coincidence. The LORD is calling his people out from the captivity of church creeds and traditions. As I have shared before, beasts in Scripture represent portions of God’s Word. Each portion has a specific purpose to fulfil. Sealed in these three beasts are great signs, miracles and blessings. Our churches greatly lust after their fruit. The deceit, accusation and horror bound in them are revealed in the Seven Plagues. (Revelation 16:13)

.

The Dragon

.

In the 1st Trumpet I share the Dragon cast down to earth is the Covenant of the Law handed to Israel. Its tail, seven heads and ten horns, are symbols of the Tabernacle of Witness with its outer court where beasts were sacrificed. In its sanctuary is a candlestick with seven heads, and in the Holy Place, Ten Commandments. Sanctuary in this tabernacle rests in the Law. The LORD opened Ezekiel’s eyes to a spirit bound in the Law, the Dragon and Babylon.

By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffic; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. (Ezekiel 28:16-18)

.

In Revelation 12 we see two great signs in heaven. First, a Bride with the moon beneath her feet, clothed with the sun, and crowned with twelve stars. She is the LORD’s three Covenants with true Israel. ¹The Law in subjection. ²Clothed with the Gospel. ³Her crown the promised son and His seed. In her prevails a great faith; Hear O Israel; The LORD thy God is One LORD. From these Covenants come the Messiah and those who keep the Commandments of God and the Testimony of JESUS Christ; who was, and is, and is to come the LORD God Almighty.

(BDB: LORD = Existing One: – JESUS = Salvation of Existing One: – Christ = Anointed One)

.

The second sign: the first of three beasts, the first of three covenants. The Dragon who was. In this Dragon is the spirit of the antichrist, with its seven heads, ten horns and a tail which casts a third part of those stars, which crown the bride, to the ground. These stars are the seed of Christ the promised son, and his name JESUS; the seal of his circumcision. Having cast these down, it now waits to devour the Messiah. In Revelation 12 the Dragon wars in heaven but cannot prevail and so this deceiving Serpent is cast to earth. In its deceit is a name; Satan.

(Strongs: Satan = the accuser)

.

Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, (ten stones named)… Thou art the anointed cherub that covers; and I have set thee so: thou was upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou was perfect in thy ways from the day that thou was created, till iniquity was found in thee. (Ezekiel 28:13-17)

The ‘moon beneath the bride’s feet and the dragon’ in Revelation are the sign of the ‘burning lamp and smoking furnace’ seen in Genesis. They are two parts of the same Covenant of the Law, seen also in the first sign given to Moses. A rod, symbolic of the Law and its blessings, that when held aloft ensured Israel prevailed. A rod; that when cast to the earth become a serpent, full of accusation and cursing. (Exodus 4:1-5)

The spirit of the antichrist and his accusation dwelt in the Pharisees who demanded JESUS death. Its spirit further demands an eye for an eye, and a life for a life. Created by God, it opposes His Christ for a season. To forgive one another’s debts; not to render evil for evil, and to love our enemies. These war one against the other. Hatred seen in those prophesies made over Eve and the Serpent. The same God, who created the darkness creates light, with great purpose in each. This hatred marks the beast and its root is sealed in the Covenant of the Law. We shall see its mark and name in the beasts yet to come.

Ten Horns

.

JESUS testimony, released from the mouths of His angels, prophets and apostles sows its purpose in our hearts and minds. Once sown it creates. Once created it reaps. In the ten horns of the dragon we glimpse Ten Commandments: foreordained in them the journeys, wars and captivity of Israel’s multitudes named in Ephraim; led into captivity then because of great idolatry, and into the slavery of church creeds now. Multitudes from every nation called out of the tribulation shown to Abraham and preached by JESUS. Peoples who shall wash their filthy garments white in the blood of the Lamb. (Revelation 7:9-14)

[Moses to Israel] The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them. (Deuteronomy 33:2)

[Habakkuk] God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise. And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power. (Habakkuk 3:3-4)

[Moses blessing over Ephraim] His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh. (Deuteronomy 33:17)

.

Moses prophecy over Ephraim, as with all the Tribes, abides in the blessings and curses of the Covenant of the Law. However, Jacob’s blessings over Ephraim dwelt in the promises and Covenant of Circumcision, which were declared before the Law. When Jacob blessed Ephraim, he passed the name of Israel to him. And in the name ‘Israel’ are sealed the names of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And the covenants promised them. (Genesis 48:16)

When Abram believed God would give him an heir, God promised his seed would inherit the land between two rivers. Within this covenant is a sign of tribulation and deliverance. To seal  His oath, God changed Abram’s name to Abraham. (‘Exalted father,’ to ‘father of a multitude’)

In Isaac; the promised son, the Covenant of Circumcision on the 8th day. Its sign a memorial forever: the removal of the flesh. Isaac was named before he was conceived and so the seal of its name rests in the Spirit of God and not the flesh.

Jacob, having received the blessing of Isaac, served seven years for the bond wife and seven years for his beloved. From them, two camps seen in the multitudes promised to Abraham, and the line of kings sealed in Isaac. On his return to the land of Canaan, Jacob feared the wrath of his brother Esau upon him and his seed. Yet as Jacob prepared to cross the Jordan, he clung evermore to God’s promises and in his darkest hour wrestled with and prevailed over the Angel of God. To seal this triumph over the flesh, God changed Jacob’s name to Israel. (Genesis 32)

(BDB: Jacob = to supplant or hold by the heel) (BDB: Israel = God Prevails)

.

The change of his name reveals the change in Jacob. It reveals the deliverance from tribulation shown to Abraham and of multitudes washing their garments white in the blood of the Lamb. The inheritance of things promised. And the circumcision, the seal of faith that prevails over the flesh. Just as in the Faith of JESUS we wrestle with and prevail over an Angel of God, a spirit sealed in the Law. Such are the journeys, wars and triumph of God’s Tribes.

.

Ten Kings

Moses spoke of a fiery law in the LORD’s right hand. Habakkuk saw its power as horns. Ezekiel saw it as a fire in their midst that would devour those who defiled it. The Prophet Daniel saw ten horns as ten kings. (We visit them more in the Beast of the sea)

In the natural, kings rule by decree; kingdoms are established by the strength of its laws and consumed when their rule of law collapses. In Revelation 17, we see God’s purpose in the ten horns Daniel spoke of. While Scripture says these kings have no kingdom as yet, they war against the Lamb. But the Lamb overcomes them. The same cannot be said for those who defile God’s Word.

And the ten horns which thou saw are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength to the beast. These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is LORD of Lords, and King of kings:

And the ten horns which thou saw upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. For God has put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. (Revelation 17:12-17)

.

Now, I ask you to consider the 7th Trumpet below in the context of the ten kings above. To consider a Covenant portrayed as a Dragon cast down to earth. A law the Apostle Paul says is holy and just, and yet deceives us and takes us into bondage; a spirit inside the law that must be circumcised in our hearts and minds. The flesh separated from the promise, as Ishmael was separated from Isaac; and Jacob from Israel. Commandments in us that must bow to JESUS faith and name, lest we carry the name of another.

.

Consider the 7th Trumpet of release and rest in the LORD God Almighty who was, and is, and is to come; JESUS Christ the same yesterday today and forever.

[7th Trumpet] And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.  And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, Saying; We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and was, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. (Revelation 11:15-17)

.

The Dragon’s error was to cast down a third part of those stars which crown the Bride. Her crown of faith; that JESUS the Messiah alone is LORD. The sin born of this error is at the heart of the mark of the beast.

Come see the Beast of the Sea. The Antichrist – The Beast
